You are three years old going on thirty I believe. You are intelligent and so very loving. I love that you share kisses and hugs so easily with those you love and this Grandma. Hugging you is better than candy or ice cream, and that means a lot of love!
We went to see you this past few days and had to leave suddenly to come home because it was going to rain, ice, and snow. We got home in time and did not have to drive on icy roads. Grandpa and I do not like being outside driving when the weather gets bad. We have done that one too many times in the past. Having close calls makes a person change how they do things. We had too many close calls. All it takes is one car not being able to stop and it could all be over with. We don't need any bad owies.
Your Mom got me some more bling bling for Valentine's Day. Your Grandpa called her and she went and picked out a Heart necklace from where Mommy worked, Penneys. She has since quit there for the time being, so that is probably going to be the end of Grandma's bling bling. I just heard from Grandpa that it will not be the end of my bling, which makes me very happy. I have 3 wonderful necklaces now. Too many to wear all at once. We got you a crane for your Thomas collection and a bathtub toy with Deago and a whale yesterday when we went shopping. I was very proud of you when I whispered to you to go ask Grandpa if we could go shopping. I will never forget that, it was so sweet. The boat will be so much fun in the bathtub. You will be a very clean boy from now on! You play so nice and quietly now. We had lunch the other day, then you played while Mommy, Grandpa, and I got to chat. We all got to enjoy our time together. The shopping in Target was fun as was the place we found to eat. I cannot remember what the name of that place was now. We can't wait to get to come out and see you again. Maybe now that Mommy is not so busy, we can get together more often. I wanted to bring you home with us, but knew that it was not the right time. We will sure do that this summer a lot. Your Mom will probably be working long hours by that time. She is going to find some sort of internship this summer for her Law classes. We will go camping and fishing together. Maybe we can even get Hunter to go along too. Maybe his Mommy will let us have you both for a couple of days, or maybe she will come along too. I can't wait for the weather to get nice again. It is Spring soon, so all we have to do is to hold on till then.
I love you Sport,
See you next time, and hugs and kisses too.

More to Hunter
Here it is almost the end of February and another year has spun by. You turned a year old already 2 months ago. You will be 15 months old on the 1st which is only a few days away. You have changed so much in the past months that every time Grandpa and I see you, you look different. We sometimes see you two times per week but still notice the changes.
You have had your share and more of illness already. If it is going around, you have had it. I remember your cousin Tyler was the same way. So were your Mom and Aunts. I spent more time in the Doctors office waiting for one of them to get checked more than I stayed at home. At least it seems like that now.
You are walking and that really should be called running. You toddle faster than anyone I can ever remember seeing. You giggle all the way too. You are a little Hamster in that you love to be the star of the show. Guess that is how every child is, as they should be. We expect you all to grow up way too early and so you do.
Grandpa and I are going to babysit you this next week because your babysitter is going to be gone for a week. I will love it and will be tired when the week is done. I hope you stay well as you have already had too much illness.
You find joy in the simplest things. You just learned that you can point your index finger on each hand now, sometimes both at once. You hold down your thumb and that is no easy task when you are walking at the same time. You love to talk on the cell phone. You will pretend to talk into just about anything you get your hands upon. You can carry on quite a conversation too! It is just too cute. The older you get the cuter you get. Your eyes light up with joy when Grandpa and I walk into the room. There is no greater feeling than that one. To be thought of with such passion and joy means more than you will ever know. At least until I give you this journal some day.
Your Mom has been tired and needs to rest a lot now that she is going to have a brother or sister for you soon. The time will fly by and August will be here before we know what happened.
The weather has been bad most of the Month of February this year. It always turns bad just in time for the weekends. We had to come home early from going to visit your Aunt Jet. and Aunt Jo. this past few days. We went out on Thursday and stayed overnight in a motel near where Aunt Jet lives. Then we got up Friday and went to visit with your Cousin for a few hours. We had to come home early because it was to rain and turn to ice. It did. We woke up in the middle of the night and it was raining then. It was making a lot of noise when hitting the windows. I am not sure if it was coming down frozen or freezing when it landed. I knew then that we had made the right choice in ending our visit out there sooner. We will get to go before too long again.
Your Mom and Dad and you were going to go out there yesterday. We all talked your Mom into staying home. She is really glad she did now that it has turned bad. It is supposed to stay bad for a couple of days now.
I will be writing to you or your Cousin often on this blog now. It has been such a joy to have you in our lives. I remember when your Mom was born and when your Aunt Jo and Jet too. There is no job I have ever had that was harder to do or more rewarding than raising children. It kept me young too. It still does.
More later Scooter, hugs
